Born in 1993, Cunmo Yin studied in Beijing and Shanghai and is currently completing his education at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Hanover under Gerrit Zitterbart. In 2018, he won First Prize at the Scriabin Competition in Italy and Second Prize at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University Competition. In the following year, he was awarded First Prize at the International Telekom Beethoven Competition in Bonn.
Cunmo recorded a CD with all of Franz Liszt’s Études d’exécution transcendante at the age of fourteen and has since performed in famous halls such as the National Center for Performing Arts in Beijing, the Great Hall of the People in Nanjing, as well as with the Beijing Symphony Orchestra, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, the Shanghai Opera Philharmonic Orchestra and the Longwood Symphony Orchestra.
