Carl Bechstein Competition
Competitions are fun! Every year since 2014, the Carl Bechstein Foundation organizes a competition to boost the interest of children and youth in making music. The event is held in the charming Britz Manor in Berlin-Neukölln.
Purpose of the competition
Each year contemporary works are commissioned from young composers, and special prizes worth 500 euros are awarded for the best interpretations. The compositions can be downloaded from our website.
The competition is open to young musicians* who have not reached the age of 18 on the closing date and who have been permanently resident in Germany for at least six months.
