What the press says about the Carl Bechstein Foundation

Prizes worth more than 10,000 euros were awarded by the Carl Bechstein Foundation at the 6th Carl Bechstein Competition for Children and Young People, which was held in the Kulturstall of Schloss Britz in Berlin from 1 to 3 November 2019.

For the first time, the competition was announced for the category “Piano solo – classical music and jazz”. Over 90 young pianists had applied during the application period, which had to be shortened by two months due to great demand. 64 pianists from all over Germany were accepted – a new record number of participants.
