Almost all competitions in which the Carl Bechstein Foundation awards extra prizes were cancelled this year, including, the Berlin State Competition Jugend musiziert.
Since young musicians already had a hard enough time this year, we didn’t want to completely abandon the completely and, together with the organizers, decided to simply turn the two prizes of 500 euros each at the state level of the competition into four prizes of 250 euros each at the regional level.
These special prizes will go to four pianists who all won 1st prize with the great result of 25 points: Andrian Boelcke and Du Wang (RW South), Michael Kabanovsky (RW North) and Iounia Tomke Bossack (RW Middle, no photo).
