Beitrag vom20. August 2021
Vincent Heeren was born in 2009 in Herne. His musical talent became evident at an early age and he began playing the piano at home at the age of four. One year later, he had first piano lessons with Gerald Gatawis at the local music school and was directly enrolled in the second grade of elementary school. In 2017, he transferred to Eickel High School in his native town and had piano lessons with Rainer Maria Klaas. Workshops with Martin Stadtfeld and several chamber music courses within the framework of the Jeunesses Musicales organization boosted his interest in music and provided him opportunities to play with other, mostly much older musicians.
Vincent was awarded numerous First and Special Prizes at regional and national levels of the Jugend musiziert competition in the categories Piano Solo, Guitar Solo, Guitar Duo, Chamber Music and Instrumental Accompaniment. At the age of nine, he was accepted as a junior student in the piano class of Professor Henri Sigfridsson at the Folkwang University of the Arts, for which he regularly performs in concerts.
In 2020, he received a scholarship from the Carl Bechstein Foundation.
