Adele-Marie Schäfer was born in Sebnitz in 2006. She took her first piano lessons at the age of five at Dresden’s Heinrich Schütz Conservatory and studied first under Andreas Henkel, then under Mirjana Rajic and Hartmut Schramm. After joining master classes in Dresden in early 2018, she was admitted at the Saxon capital’s High School for Music in November that year and continues as a student in Mirjana Rajic’s class.
Adele-Marie was a laureate at several German and international piano competitions and seven times won First Prize at the Jugend musiziert competition. In 2019, she received a scholarship from Sächsische Mozartgesellschaft e.V., an association that supports musically gifted children who intend to start a performer career. This enabled her to give a first concert in Freiberg, Saxony, together with the Mittelsächsische Philharmonie. Moreover, she was among the students from Dresden’s High School for Music who participated in the project Mit Beethoven von Dresden nach London (“With Beethoven from Dresden to London”) that Mirjana Rajic organized in March 2020, which enabled her to perform at the South Bank Center.
Adele-Marie Schäfer has held a scholarship from the Carl Bechstein Foundation since 2020.
