New piano as flood aid
In an article published in the Leipziger Volkszeitung of 10 February 2014, Frank Schmidt reported on the new grand piano donated to the Muldental music school by the Carl Bechstein Foundation. The grand replaces an instrument that was destroyed by flooding in June 2013. The inaugural event for the new piano was delayed as the refurbishment of the music school’s ground floor still goes on.
