The neue musikzeitung (nmz) is a music journal that appears ten times a year. In addition to information from the current music scene and reports from the field of music education, it also contains reviews, reports and commentaries on new publications, cultural policy, the music industry, personalia and news from German musical life. Since 1997, nmz has made its content available completely and free of charge on the Internet. This archive is searchable with its own search engine.
The editor of nmz, Theo Geißler, is a member of the board of trustees of the Carl Bechstein Foundation.
