Congratulations to the Geister Duo from France! The two French pianists David Salmon & Manuel Vieillard have won the 1st prize at this year’s ARD International Music Competition as well as the Carl Bechstein Special Prize, consisting of a CD production. In addition, the likeable duo won various other special prizes, such as the BR-Klassik-Onlinepreis, the Henle-Urtextpreis, the special prize “for the most beautiful Reger” and the special prize for the best interpretation of the commissioned composition. The tension of 14 days of intense competition turned into great feelings of happiness after the brilliant prize winners’ concert on the evening of September 17, 2021 in the Herkulessaal of the Munich Residenz.
We congratulate very warmly and are already looking forward to the joint recordings in Berlin!
