The Dachsberg Primary School in Premnitz needed a new piano: the old grand piano was no longer suitable for proper piano lessons. At the end of 2023, the new W. Hoffmann piano was inaugurated.

“Music makes you smart. Music brings people together. And music can take us places words cannot. The Carl Bechstein Foundation is committed to enabling children to learn to play the piano at an early age. With its “Pianos for Elementary Schools” project, it supports schools that do not have a decent instrument on site for children to practice on. Piano lessons are already being given at our school, but the old grand piano was in very poor condition. So our school was fortunate enough to receive a new piano donated by the Carl Bechstein Foundation. On November 15, 2023, the big day arrived. The new piano now adorns our music room, and our old grand piano was moved to the dining hall, where it will continue to inspire a few more children to take up music. With the new piano, the children at our school will hopefully be able to continue learning to play the piano diligently in the afternoons for many years to come. We would like to express our sincere thanks to the Carl Bechstein Foundation for our new treasure in the music room.
