The final of the Cantabile Competition Flanders took place at the beginning of March at DE SINGEL in Antwerp, and the Carl Bechstein Foundation supported the competition with prize money totaling €2,000. The competition motivates many young pianists to give their best, not only on stage but also during the intensive preparation that such a competition requires. The latter also applies to their teachers and parents! They come together in a shared passion that makes the competition an unforgettable and educational experience.
And Cantabile’s commitment does not end with the competition: recitals and concerts are organized throughout Flanders to give the finalists of the piano competition the opportunity to develop further. Not only as soloists, because thanks to the “Kamermuziek Jong Vlaanderen” project, they can also share the stage with other young musicians.
The organizers of the Cantabile Competition Flanders and Quatre Mains Pianos share a deep conviction: young piano talents deserve the best opportunities to grow and shine. As piano partner, Quatre Mains Pianos provided a C. Bechstein concert grand piano, an instrument of exceptional class that inspires and challenges young musicians to bring out the best in themselves.
